SUMC has a group of distinguished faculty members. There are 3 academicians, 10 recipients of the National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 7 recipients of the National Natural Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars, and 2 recipients of the award of Distinguished Professor of the “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” of the Ministry of Education. A group of SUMC faculty members serve on important national committees: 4 members on the Recruitment Program of Global Experts for the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, 10 members on the Young Recruitment Program of Global Experts for the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and 4 members on the Discipline Appraisal Group of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of the State Council.
